A Legacy of Trusted Auto Care

Since 1977, Fadely’s Auto Masters has been committed to providing dependable auto repair for drivers throughout York, PA. What began as a local repair shop focused on doing the job correctly has grown into a trusted destination for professional automotive maintenance and repair. As a family owned and veteran operated business, the foundation has always been built on honesty, accountability, and long-term relationships within the community.

Over the decades, the shop has continued to evolve with advancements in automotive technology while maintaining the same core values that shaped its beginning. ASE-Certified and ASE Master Technicians follow manufacturer recommended service and repair procedures to ensure accuracy and long-term vehicle reliability. From routine oil changes and brake service to complex diagnostics and engine repairs, every vehicle is treated with careful attention to detail and clear communication throughout the process.

Drivers choose Fadely’s Auto Masters because they value transparency, professionalism, and consistent workmanship. The goal is not simply to repair vehicles, but to provide an experience that reflects integrity in auto repair and a genuine commitment to customer care. After more than four decades in business, the focus remains the same: deliver reliable automotive service that customers can trust year after year.

Honoring Local History Through Art

What began as a simple idea became a meaningful tribute to York’s automotive heritage. As Tom Fadely, owner of Fadely’s Auto Masters, shared, “The mural was a thought, which turned into an idea and then became reality.” The vision became clear when news broke that the historic Lincoln Highway Garage would be closing to make way for redevelopment. Recognizing the importance of preserving its legacy, Tom and his wife knew the mural would serve as a lasting tribute to the landmark and the generations connected to it.

Local artist Gary Gladfelter was introduced through a mutual friend and, after meeting with the Fadely family, agreed to bring the project to life. With permission from Lynn Haines, owner of Lincoln Highway Garage, the mural was carefully designed using historical photographs as inspiration. Work began in late April 2004 and was completed in early June, with a public dedication held on June 25 to officially unveil the artwork.

The mural features a scroll inscribed with the words, “In Honor of those whose insight was to succeed through dedication, skill and ability for the future generations.” Originally established in 1921, the Lincoln Highway Garage served as a gateway to the city of York and played an important role in the community’s history. Today, the mural stands as a permanent reminder of that legacy. Visible when traveling east on West Market Street from Route 30, and illuminated for viewing day and night, the tribute continues to capture attention and preserve a meaningful chapter of York’s past.
